Navarre, Arlene B.

 

Arlene B. Navarre, 90, of Temperance, MI, and formerly of Toledo, died Monday, December 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving daughters.  Born June 25, 1926, in Napoleon, OH, she was the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth ( Helmke) Rohrs.  A 1944 graduate of Whitmer High School, she married Melvin O. Navarre on August 17, 1946. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2006.  Arlene retired from Medical Mutual (formerly Blue Cross, Blue Shield) as Director of Membership after 33 years of service.  She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Post 576.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Merrill and Sandra (Mark) Brown; grandchildren, George (Peggy) Knecht, Marc Knecht, Tammy (Mike) Walsh, Kristy  (Mark) Headworth, Jaime Holmes, Valerie Ullom, Gerran (Megan) Brown, Britani (Vince) Kuebler, Zachary Brown, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and, sister, Viola.  She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters; Hilda, Esther and Luella.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman), Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, OH.  Memorials may be made to Promedica Hospice.   www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
